Our side believes that Ultraman should help humans fight monsters, and the arguments are as follows:
Firstly, from the internal logic of the anime, both Ultraman and humans have a need for this.
Humans themselves are in a vulnerable position in the anime, and many monsters have the ability to cause widespread harm to humans or even lead to their extinction. For example, the pollen monster Gigera, upon its appearance, controlled all humans on Earth, trapping them in a pollen-induced illusion, making them abandon resistance. Faced with such absolute, irresistible power, humans need another force beyond their capabilities to sustain the survival of their species.
As for Ultraman, objectively speaking, Ultraman’s DNA sequence is almost identical to that of humans, and in their subjective consciousness, they also identify humans as their kin. Protecting the survival and development of one’s kin is the primary need of any living being. Moreover, many Ultramen, having been stranded on Earth and unable to return to their homeland, the Land of Light, which is countless light-years away, regard Earth, a place incredibly similar to the Land of Light, as their second home. Therefore, to protect their home and their kin, Ultraman should, and believes they should, help humans eliminate monsters.
Now, let’s classify the monsters.
The first type are monsters that arose because the people of the Land of Light built the Spark Tower to obtain light. However, the tower’s radiation, while hardening the Ultramen into giants, also hardened many nearby planetary creatures into monsters. These monsters, created because of Ultraman, need Ultraman themselves to eliminate them.
Secondly, there are naturally occurring monsters. Through the serendipity of natural evolution, they acquired unparalleled power, and this power poses a threat to many species in the universe. This is where Ultraman’s other identity comes into play: the Space Garrison. They are like absolute authorities with supernatural powers, whose job is to eliminate or suppress these mutated species that endanger the ecological balance of the universe. So, on this level, they should also fight monsters.
Thirdly, there are monsters created by humans. We must be clear that Ultraman is not a machine; they also possess subjective emotions and consciousness. As mentioned above, they have a need to protect humans. And we should also discern who the main perpetrators of creating these monsters are. For example, Borukera, the smoke-spewing monster in Ultraman Taro, was originally a monster sleeping underground. It emerged for revenge because a drilling machine for a human-built hot spring hotel drilled into it. However, in its revenge, many innocent passersby, such as Mr. Wu’s father, died. I’d like to ask what Mr. Wu’s father had to do with the hot spring hotel? Therefore, the monsters often harm innocent civilians, not the well-protected, powerful, and wealthy instigators. So, Ultraman fighting monsters is not about restricting the monsters’ revenge, but about protecting those innocent passersby.
Then, let’s look at it from an out-of-story perspective.
One of the fundamental selling points and logics of the Ultraman anime is Ultraman fighting monsters. For the existence and popularity of this anime, Ultraman should fight monsters. Otherwise, if it were about Ultraman, humans, and monsters coexisting harmoniously, would anyone still watch this anime?
Moreover, when children watch Ultraman, they naturally identify with the role of Ultraman. Isn’t this conducive to cultivating the nascent psychological inclination to take on great responsibilities and protect their species? All excellent qualities and spirits have a starting point. Ultraman’s act of fighting monsters tells children: when the nation and humanity are in trouble, you should step forward. Isn’t the cultivation of this starting point beneficial for nurturing a better future generation?
In summary, our side believes that Ultraman should help humans fight monsters.

忍不住再吐槽一句，多数奥特曼保护人类并不是因为什么同族，不是因为什么生物本能，而是一种唯心的羁绊，他们相信人类的创造力，相信人类的美好品质，被人类的牺牲所感动
