An elderly dormitory manager at Qingdao University died of heatstroke. The manager was found unconscious in the duty room of Yingyuan Building 10 under high-temperature conditions and passed away after failing to respond to emergency treatment at the hospital. The duty room was small and poorly ventilated, with no air conditioning or other cooling equipment. Recently, Qingdao has experienced extreme high temperatures (Shandong issued 71 consecutive high-temperature warnings), which was cited as a direct cause.

Several students reported that the university had delayed his salary for 8-10 months. Due to his meager income, the elderly manager often cooked dried noodles to fill his stomach and could not afford cafeteria meals. When a kitten fell ill, he was also unable to take it to the vet due to lack of money.

The elderly manager adopted several stray cats and bought cat food at his own expense, even giving all three of his only fans to the cats.

Global warming is getting worse and worse. France is also experiencing deadly heatwaves.

They’ve given up on themselves, yet they still keep cats. Cat lives are truly precious, aren’t they?

Oh, right, university funding typically comes from local governments. The government’s inability to pay has been a persistent problem in recent years.

The French government has been preventing the installation of air conditioners, despite annual heat-related deaths.

Although there was no air conditioning, a fan was provided. As for why the fan was blowing at the cat, I don’t know either.

确实略有煽情意味

老老小小。

整死了新聞的果子上,寫滿沒有事實,沒人去找,也沒人敢找,也沒人能找⋯⋯
這果子,一起慢慢嚐⋯⋯

沒有事實,一切說的,就終是虛妄;
而亡者,傷者,又一一目前。

說這些,也只是寄望,等諸位立身時,可以讓光更多一些⋯⋯

Could the cost of strict investigation and punishment be higher than suppressing public opinion…? No, why would the government consider the cost in such a situation? :crying_cat:

Surely some people still remember, one year the pipes in the second-floor restroom of the school’s South Building burst, and water poured down to the first floor like the Yellow River. Students’ WeChat Moments were filled with all sorts of posts… The first thing the department teacher did when they arrived… was to stop students from taking photos and posting them on WeChat Moments. Now, the question is: If you were the department teacher in charge, would you do the same? The next question is: If you were part of the school management, would you support the department teacher doing that?

Because they are all under the heavy hand of exams.

It is indeed a bit abstract, but this ‘supernatural’ fan seems to only blow hot air, which isn’t very useful.
